Over 30 men were caught shirtless and drinking in the streets by the Las Pinas police for violating an ordinance that prohibits drinking liquor along the streets.
These men were made to do 40 push ups as punishment. According to acting Las Pinas chief of police Sr. Supt. Jemar Modequillo, the measure is part of “ Oplan Rody” or “Rid the Streets of Drinkers and Youth.”
The chief of police scolded the parents of the minors for violating the 10 pm to 4am curfew hours.
Those who finished the push ups given to them were allowed to go home already while those men who haven’t completed yet the punishment were temporarily jailed.
