Herbert Chavez from Calamba City in the Philippines is a Superman fanatic who underwent 23 surgeries to look like his favorite hero Superman. He fell in love with the superhero when he was 5 years old while watching him on TV.
Herbert spent around 300,000 pesos ($6,600) on his obsession. He’s had nose enhancement, skin whitening, liposuction, jaw re-alignment and fillers over the course of 18 years to make himself look like Clark Kent. He even wears bright blue contacts to change his eye color from brown.
Herbert wants doctors to give him the superhero’s famous “abs of steel” but they refused after discovering Herbert had been injecting his abs and chest with a filler-type product called MesoLipo, which is illegal in the US.
Herbert Chavez had been left with spots and bumps all over his body. He was warned by the doctors that the risk of surgery was made even greater due to the “poison” he had been injecting.
