Today is Maine Mendoza’s 21st celebration at Eat Bulaga. And the highlight of Eat Bulaga’s Kalye Serye is the much awaited kiss of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza on the lips.
Alden and Maine had their first lips-to-lips kiss during the couple’s 32nd week anniversary. This is the second time AlDub had lip-locked on live television.
After Alden sang a love song for Maine, all members were asking Alden to kiss Maine. Alden said Happy Birthday and kissed her on the cheek, just near the lips.
Then Lola Tinidora then asked them to just have a kiss on the cheeks. It was Maine’s turn to kiss this time. Alden offered his cheeks for the kiss, but when Maine kissed kissed him, he turned his face and caught Maine’s kiss on his lips. That’s the first full lips to lips kiss of Alden and Maine. The studio audience jumped off their seats and goes wild afterwards.
It seems the kiss was ok for the family of the Queen of Dubsmash. Alden is certified “approved” by Maine’s family. When somebody asked for Alden’s reaction on the approval of Maine’s family, Alden was very happy as he said, “Yes!”
Aside from the special kiss, Alden prepared several gifts for Maine which corresponds to the letters of her name. First is the medallion of St. Benedict for her protection, an “alaga” which is a pair of lovebirds, an illustration of him and Maine forming a heart with their hands. Then, a notebook that will serve as her journal, and a special gift which he says is “for your eyes only.”
On Alden’s birthday message, he also assured Maine that he will always support Maine despite the “detractors” who are trying to tear them apart.
