He decided to miss the event to go out on a date with her girlfriend Sarah Geronimo.
A photo of him and Sarah made the rounds online where they can be seen dining in a hotel in Makati, according to the showbiz news site PEP.
They were also spotted at the City Kart Racing in Makati City with Matteo's younger brother Paulo who joined them in kart racing.
