The 49-year old box-office movie director Wenn Deramas died from heart attack on Monday morning, February 29, 2016.
In an interview of ABS-CBN News Channel(ANC) from Deramas' friend June Rufino, she said he died at around 6:15 am.
According to CNN, he went to the Capital Medical Center to visit his sister at the hospital. Deramas had a heart attack in the same hospital at around 3 am and the doctors attempted to revive him many times.
He directed many movie hits like Ang Tanging Ina, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, Sisterakas, and Beauty and the Bestie.
Vice Ganda also expressed his sympathy on his Twitter account.
