Duterte's Supporter Receives Death Threats After Her Open Letter to Mar Roxas Went Viral on Social Media

Rachel Amestoso, a Facebook user became the hottest topic on social media particularly to all the followers of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, a presidential aspirant. She wrote an open letter to Mar Roxas, a former DILG Secretary and presidential candidate asking him to shut up his mouth and stop urging Filipinos to vote for him.

Due to the popularity of the open letter she made, Rachel revealed on her Facebook post that she received death threats from unknown Facebook user. The post has been shared thousands of times, however, Rachel took it down already due to the threats she continue to receive.

On Rachel’s post she stated: “The post I made was not meant to go viral. But the fact that some people are telling me to take it down or watch out for my life from now on is exactly why we have to fight for a change in the current system.”

Rachel added: “You argue a lot about living in fear under Duterte’s rule but you haven’t noticed the fear that has crippled you all these years. You are more concerned with your safety than the life of the future generations.”
