Veteran Actress Quits “Tubig at Langis” After Cristine Reyes “Humiliated” Her

Veteran actress Vivian Velez announced on social media that she is resigning from an afternoon soap opera “Tubig at Langis”after being “humiliated” by Cristine Reyes. According to Vivian, she has never been humiliated by an actress in her entire acting career.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Vivian said: “With much trepidation, I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately from the show, “Tubig at Langis.” She added: “I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!”

Vivian complained that she has been receiving shabby treatment from Cristine for a month now. Vivian alleged that Cristine bangs the doors and shouts at her. “The straw that broke the camel’s back was when we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she wants it only for her own.” She complained to the production staff why they are nice to me and she should be the priority all the time. And many other rudeness that were uncalled for, “ Vivian told Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep).

Vivian added: Cristine keeps on singing “Goodbye, Farewell” in front of my face while we are rehearsing.” It was “the rudest thing anyone had ever done “ to me.

“Tubig at Langis” is a soap opera that stars Cristine Reyes, Zanjoe Marudo and Isabelle Daza, along with Vivian Velez, Lito Pimentel, Nadia Montenegro, Marco Gumabao, Ingrid dela Paz, Dionne Monsanto, Archie Alemanie, Victor Silayan and Miguel Vergara.

Vivian’s co-star Zanjoe Marudo “apologized for what happened.”
Isabelle  Daza, another co-star  “was crying, kasi nga naman, what daw if that same rudeness happened to her mom Gloria Diaz.

Vivian said she hopes ABS-CBN “would discipline Cristine. I heard from others that she really has this kind of reputation…Bastos.”

Vivian said she will meet the producers of “Tubig at Langis” today but added her resignation is irrevocable. Cristine Reyes has not issued her side on the matter.
