Filipina Teacher Puts Her Life In Danger As She Crosses 5 Rivers and Walks 2 Hours To Reach Her Students

A woman named Elizabeth Miranda is a Filipina teacher who puts her life in danger as she willingly crosses five rivers and walks two hours just to reach her students.

Elizabeth is the only teacher who can educate the kids living in Sitio Barogante, Occidental Mindoro because the place is so remote and its difficult when it rains because the current flows stranger during this kind of weather.

There are rivers that she can’t cross by foot so she has to ride on “salbabidas.” Elizabeth is very thankful that there are locals within the community who lends her a hand in crossing the rushing stream each morning.

After the long hours of travelling, Elizabeth reached the school where it is just a small hut with lack of facilities. She confessed that the kids don’t even have food. She is the only teacher available for all the different levels of the students.

Being able to see the joy in the kids’ eyes as they learn gives Elizabeth a hope that her sacrifices would not be wasted.

Elizabeth hopes that people would notice her effort and dedication and help her in her mission to share her knowledge. Hopefully, the government builds a bridge or a better school for kids and for Elizabeth Miranda, the heroic teacher.
