Actress Marissa Delgado Has Finally Graduated from College


Marissa Delgado is a veteran actress who entered show business during the 1960’s. When she was in high school, she was a working student. After graduating from high school, Marissa did not proceed to college for she had already entered the showbiz industry in order to help her family in terms of financial matters.

On Friday, March 18, the 64-year old actress had graduated from college with a degree in Business Administration major in Human Resources Management at the University of Visayas in Cebu. Even Marissa herself expressed disbelief over her latest achievement. According to her, she feels grateful for the full support of her family in finishing her education.

Marissa Delgado, who is Efipania Boyle in real life, started her career in the entertainment industry playing small roles.



She had won acting awards including Best Supporting Actress for “Lumuha Pati Mga Anghel” in 1971 and “Till Death Do Us Part” in 1972. In 1977, Marissa was also nominated for Gawad Urian Award for “Ligaw Na Bulaklak”, and in 1988, she was Best Supporting Actress in FAMAS Award for “Sa Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas”.

Marissa’s latest projects were TV series “Forevermore” and “Be Careful With My Heart.”

“Dalawang Kumander” which starred Dolphy and Chiquito was Marissa’s first movie. She is also known for “Tubog sa Ginto”, which was directed by Lino Brocka.

Aside from the acting stints, Marissa was known for posing nude for Playboy Magazine in 1968.
