Starbucks, the big name company coffee shop has been involved in a "coffee mouse" controversy, wherein a customer named Jessa claimed she found a dead mouse in her coffee which she brought home.
In addition to what was reported earlier, Jessa, the complainant, underwent a medical check-up after the incident.
According to Abs-cbn, test results showed she has symptoms of acute gastro-enteritis and leptospirosis, a disease that is contracted from rats.
Jessa reportedly said she continues to vomit, feel dizzy, and had lost her appetite. She reiterated that her cup was sealed from the moment she left Starbucks until she noticed the dead mouse inside it. She is under observation for five days.

In defense of Starbucks, a former employee named Marco Carlo Calibara said he worked with the coffee shop for more than 3 years. He turned to Facebook to speak up and share his own opinion regarding the matter.
