FPJ's "Ang Probinsyano", a teleserye where Coco Martin plays a police officer really caught the attention and interest of the viewers. Every episode gives surprises which make it even more exciting to watch.
Coco Martin, who plays SPO1 Ricardo "Cardo" Dalisay in the teleserye is forced to dress up as a woman in order to go undercover and rescue Carmen(Bella Padilla), the wife of his dead brother, his sister-in-law, and the abducted girls from a prostitution ring headed by Olga(Gina Pareño). He disguised himself as the alluring "Paloma" and will join a beauty pageant.
After Coco Martin transformed into "Paloma" for his mission, he became an instant hit online. Netizens were amazed how Coco was able to pull off the role. Some claims that they got more excited because of the funny scenes of Paloma with their characters.
The actor's dress-up also contributed to the teleserye's skyrocketing TV rating.
In an earlier interview, Martin revealed he was the one who brought up the idea of dressing up as woman as it was one of his dream roles. He also added he had a newfound respect for women especially sharing how hard it was for him to dress up as Paloma during the tapings.
