Jan Ray Parayno, a 21 -year old Electrical Engineering student from Marikina Polytechnic College caught the attention of the netizens after posting on his Facebook account his financial problems in school.
He is the only child of a broken family, as his parents separated in 2005. His father who works abroad as a foreman got an accident and his mother, a seam stress also makes a living to support his needs.
Jan Ray is so worried at that time because as he was about to finish his studies, he doesn't have enough money to pay for the last semester as an engineering student. He wasn't able to pay for his school fees after his father got an accident while working in Saudi Arabia. Jan Ray doesn't have an idea on where to find money to support his finances in school. He really wanted to attend his classes in his last semester to finally receive a degree.
In his situation, he finally knew who are his true friends after his friends decided to collect money and come up with a total of P1,665 to pay for Jan Ray's tuition so that no one gets left behind.
