A frustrated husband, aged 26, created a spreadsheet of wife’s excuses whenever he asked her to make love to him.
The man, who has not been named, spent a month compiling the list of excuses of his wife including “I’m watching a show,” “ I’m not feeling good, “ “I have to be up early,” “I might be getting sick” or “I’m exhausted.”
Other excuses from his wife were “I’m too drunk, I ate too much” followed a few days later with “You’re too drunk.”
The man collated the information and put it into an excel document and emailed it to his wife at an airport ahead of a ten- day business trip.
Shocked at the email, the woman, also aged 26, tried to get in touch with her husband but he failed to return her calls. So she decided to share her husband’s harsh behavior with users of Reddit by uploading the spreadsheet. She wrote on Reddit: “Husbands sends a message to my work email… he’s never done this, we always communicate in person or by text. “I open it up and it is a sarcastic diatribe basically saying he won’t miss me for the 10 days I’m gone.
She explained that they had been together for five years in total but have been married for last two. They had no kids and bought a house together five months ago and spent all spring renovating their new house.
The spreadsheet, which has been deleted, was quickly spread around the internet with web users taking both sides in the debate.
One Reddit user wrote: “There are so many ways this could have been communicated better, but instead he came up with some bizarre hit and run with a spreadsheet method which I’d say is actually going to be really hard to come back to a normal relationship from.”
Another one said: “ Maybe her husband has got sick and tired of being totally and utterly ignored for months on end, has had enough and wants resolution of the issue. This time after all attempts, he has got her attention,”
