The transformation of Coco Martin into a seductive and alluring "Paloma" in the top-rating primetime series "Ang Probinsyano" really caught the attention and interest of the viewers.
Coco Martin, who plays SP01 Ricardo "Cardo" Dalisay in the teleserye had to disguise as a woman named Paloma in order to go to undercover and rescue Carmen(Bela Padilla), the wife of his brother who passed away, and the abducted girls from a prostitution ring headed by Olga(Gina Pareño).
The actor admitted he had enjoyed the role when asked about portraying the alluring Paloma.
Coco revealed he was the one who pitched the storyline to Dreamscape Entertainment, the production unit behind the series. He told reporters that dressing up as a woman is one of his dream challenging roles.
He admitted that it's hard to play as a woman and that getting dolled up as a woman is as challenging as dancing in the middle of EDSA to direct traffic, a role also played in the series.
His portrayal, according to data from Kantar Media, has garnered positive reaction from viewers, helping the series pass the 40 percent mark in terms of nationwide rating for two days in a row.
