The war between the two politician, Mar Roxas and Mayor Duterte are now getting a lot of fuss online. It is said by many websites that it all started when Mar Roxas claims that the peace order in Davao City is just a myth. Liberal Party standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II said that peace in Davao City is only an imagination.
“Myth, kathang-isip, imagination lang itong payapa sa Davao City. Hindi ko sila dinadown. Sinasabi ko lang ang statistics,” Roxas said
He said that Davao City has the fourth-highest-number of crime incidents in the Philippines.
However, the Davao City Police Office(DCPO) responded to the statement of Mar Roxas.
“For the information of everyone, out of the 18,119 crime volume of Davao City for 2014, only 6,548 (36%) is attributed to index crime, meaning crime against person and properties. The remaining 11,571 (64%) is attributed to non-index crimes. These are police-initiated operations that yielded positive results especially on anti-drugs/ special laws and city ordinances,” the DCPO said on their official Facebook page.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is not happy on what Roxas said about the peace order in Davao City.
Duterte fought back and addressed Roxas about the issue, Duterte said: "It is not for you to say that. It is for Dabawenyos to tell us what it is all about."
“Akala ko ba ikaw ang (I thought you were) DILG (secretary). All orders and submission (go to DILG). I don’t even have a copy of the blotter everyday or the journal, ikaw ang may hawak ng police (you have authority over the police), it’s either binola ka ng police mo (you were fooled by the police) or you were treated as trash by the police).", Duterte said.
Duterte said that the real myth is the educational background of Mar Roxas where he graduated in Wharton School and got a Wharton Degree.
Mar Roxas also fought back and said that if his Wharton Degree is true, then he will slap the face of Duterte.
GMA News Research mailed the Wharton School about Mar Roxas' educational background. From the records of the University of Pennsylvania Registrar, it is confirmed that Mar Roxas was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Economics.

However, upon researching on the internet, we found a website ThinkingPinoy where it revealed the truth about the controversial educational background of Mar Roxas.
We can see in Mar Roxas' Senate Bio, it indicates his educational background: "MAR graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1974 and the Wharton School of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania in 1979". You can also see this sentences in his website.
Roxas attended Wharton from September 1976 to May 1979, equal to 2 yrs & 8 months.
The term “Wharton graduate” customarily refers to Wharton MBA degree holders. Meanwhile, Wharton’s Bachelor’s degree holders are customarily referred to as “UPenn graduates”.
So is this means that Roxas is an "UPenn graduate" and not a "Wharton graduate"?
The website ThinkingPinoy claims that Roxas is fooling the Filipinos with the way that he had been presenting his degree in Wharton.
The site also pointed out that instead of understanding the weakness of the Filipinos to comprehend, he took advantage of it.
However, netizens said that Roxas became the senator because of his clean records and vision for the country not for his educational background.
