This is a big day for all the Filipinos around the world. The most awaited Miss Universe pageant was held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, United States.
Everyone thought that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez is the winner of the Miss Universe 2015. However, A terrible mistake happened during the coronation night, where Steve Harvey(Host of Miss Universe) announced the wrong winner.
The host went back on stage and said, "I have to apologize, the first runner-up is Colombia." And then after that, he officially announced that the true Miss Universe 2015 was no other than Miss Philippines.
Steve Harvey also tweeted an apology about his mistake on the coronation night.

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, 26 years old, an actress, model and TV host, did a great job at doing everything she can to take home the crown. She totally wowed judges Emmitt Smith, Niecy Nash, Olivia Culpo and Perez Hilton, along with voters and the 77 fellow contestants, with her dress, swimsuit and gorgeous beauty looks throughout the show.
The Philippines was last crowned as Miss Universe in 1973. That's the reason why Pia winning Miss Universe was a big deal! She even tweeted back then on May 3, 2015 that she will recover the crown on this coming Miss Universe 2015.
Congratulations to Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, you made every Filipino proud.
