This is a heartbreaking story of a seven-year-old boy named Ou Yanglin from Guizhou, China who has taken care of his paralyzed father after his mother abandoned them.

Ou Tongming, a 37 year-old worker from Wangpu Village in Southwest China's Guizhou province, fell from the second floor of the house in June 2013. He suffered from a spinal cord injury that paralyzed him from the waist down.

Tongming's condition did not improve despite spending all their money for his medical treatments. He has remained bedridden since then. His wife left their home bringing their three-year-old daughter, and was never heard again, leaving Yanglin to care for his father alone.

Yanglin, then became the sole caretaker of his father. Everyday he wakes up at 6 in the morning to make sure that he will be able to take care of his father before going to school.
He taught himself how to cook and buy vegetables for his father. At lunchtime he rushes home to feed his father again.

After school he collects scraps and sells it to add to their monthly disability payment that his father received. But this isn't enough. According to him he can't live without his father. He wanted to grow up faster to be able to earn more money for food as well as to cure his father's injuries.

Yanglin's story has spread out and many people have been touched that they are calling for a charity fund to be set up in Yanglin's name.
